Although we all develop abilities in a predictable sequence throughout our lives, it’s important to realize that each of us has unique characteristics from birth, characteristics that develop further through a unique set of everyday experiences and interactions. Each child is a unique individual, and learning happens in the context of each person’s personality, abilities, and opportunities.
Our belief is high-quality relationship-based care is central to optimal early brain development, emotional regulation and learning. Continuity of care practices support the development of secure attachments and strong positive relationships as well as a secure base for exploration and learning.
This structuring and control of the learning materials and environment is very important in a classroom and is under the control of trained educators and teachers. The teacher encourages the child to explore and discover, developing his/her creativity and enthusiasm for learning.
